If you have your service manual for the machine, check the chapter on the ignition system and back track the problem from start to finish. I did this on an elite and determined my problem was the cdi.

I changed the carburettor, spark plug, fuel lines, and fuel filter. It will not start. I do not know what I need to do to get it running. Does anyone know what I am missing to get it running

did you try finding it on ebay.com. That is where I have found a lot of my parts for my 88 honda elite sa50.

It does not have a air filter box. The air filter is a foam air cleaner. Do you think that a new carburettor will solve the problem
