How do you check for air leaks with an unlit propane torch?

I ran it best I could and pulled the plug. I was a new plug and I ran it for maybe 10 minutes off and on due to the dying. Can anyone tell me what the CC's are on an '86 Spree? Best I can determine it is 49cc but not sure.

All it will do is idle. Can you do the plug chop if it just idles? From what I've read you have to run it for a mile or more wide open.

I removed the muffler and it is clear and open. I checked the exhaust port while I had it off and it is clean. Didn't help.

My 86 spree starts and idles good but bogs down and dies when accelerated. I changed the plug, new oil, gas, air filter, and cleaned the carb. It has been sitting up for over 15 years and was glad to just get it going. Now I need help in getting it to run at higher speed.
