The 86' Elite 80 I just purchased will not stay running unless I am continuously spraying starter fluid into it. I completely took apart the carb and cleaned every part, replaced the fuel lines and filter and gas is pumping through them, cleaned the air filter, it gets a spark and put new gas in it ...

I just bought an 86 Elite 80 and was working on it today. One of the problems is an inoperable rear brake, the pulley on the actual brake itself works fine and the lever works fine too but the cable seems stuck. Am I correct or is the cable really not supposed to move through its housing?
