I bought a complete plastics from a 1987 NQ50 and I have a 1986 NQ50. I am still waiting on carb to get here so that I can get it running right,but wanted to get rest of it done. Yep,and I oiled it per the tech manual with the oil that is recommended. I sprayed the outside with carb cleaner while running looking for any leaks.

I wanted to thank all of you who gave me some hints. I did all that you suggested and IT RUNS! I still have some issues as it wants to cut out when I give it full throttle-need to figure that out,but I am happy that it runs! Now-got to get the brake cables freed up,get some plastics,ect. I do have an air filter installed. I also made sure that carb is tight and gasket is installed right. I sprayed with carb clean to make sure that there are no leaks. Anything else I might be missing? Thanks again for your time and your suggestions. Jim
