Tank Filter

You can order the tank filter from Paul if you need it. He only charges $3.00 and that includes the shipping!

Fuel valve cover

Check under Honda Spree on ebay or with paul he should have them. I have seen them in both red and black on ebay for about 10.00. Kinda expensive but the dealership wants like 30.00 for it!

Air Filter

I wouldn't run it without a air filter. As much dirt and grit that comes off that back tire your working your way to a rebuild. Jerry really stresses that it makes your bike run lean too, so I wouldn't keep that up.

30 Degree Ride

Took the spree for a little ride today in 30 degree weather @ 30mph. I have a open face helmet with a face shield, wore a jacket and gloves, and it felt really good. It was only a 4 mile round trip but it was fun. I figure I better get my riding in before it snows and I'm out of luck! :)

Gas on carburetor bottom

Well my Spree is running great now with the new carburetor and throttle cable. It hits right at 30 mph at full throttle. I love this little thing. I just went into my garage though and noticed a gas smell. At the bottom of the carburetor bowl there is a drop or two of gas. I noticed there is a ...

Air Screw adjustment

Does screwing in the air screw allow less air in causing a richer mixture? Or do I have the wrong?

Thanks,

James

Well I finally got my carburetor and throttle cable installed and it seems to run okay. (although I haven't ridden but in a circle a couple times)

But I have no clue what year carburetor this is so I'm not sure really where to adjust the air screw to. It'a a 1985 spree but I bought the carb from ...

throttle cable installation ?'s

Well I just went to install my new throttle cable and I'm not sure how far the cable is supposed to screw into the handle bar assembly. I noticed there is a nut that tightens the cable down to handle bar/switch assembly. Do I screw this in all the way or halfway or what?

Is that an additional ...

Inline Filter

The tank looks pretty clean, the little filter that goes up into the tank. Seems to be stuck in there though. I took off the gas cap and tried to lightly tap it out of the bottom of the tank and I can't get it out. I did run a briggs and stratton clear inline filter(looks like a coffee canister) b/w ...

Carburetor Heat Insulator???

Well I finally got my professionally cleaned and adjust carburetor from ebay. Now I notice on the parts diagram for the carburetor, that there is a little piece that goes b/w the intake and the carburetor that is called a heat insulator. I do not have this piece. Can I run it with out it? (Probably ...

Carb screws?

I'm waiting on my carburetor to arrive and I need to get the screws for it. So I can mount it right when I get it. The ones that mount it to the intake, does anyone know off hand what diameter they are, and the length. Thanks!

Transmission oil ?'s

I was wondering can I just use any SAE 10w40 motor oil? There aren't any special additives that have to be in it? Also when changing the transmission oil do you just siphon it out of the fill hole? Thanks in advance! James :D
