I just got done dremeling out the bystarter cylinder. Sure enough.. Runs awesome! Hits 29mph on flats and pulls good throughout the rpm range :D

Thanks for the reply. What do you think as for the running badly even with my finger over the hole? Runs perfectly with bystarter completely removed....

Check your slide in the carb, pull the cap off and see if you can get it to move freely, might be binding or needle not seating correctly
