I paid $1000 (sign of the times) for this 2001 with less than 500 miles on it. Included new battery and carb clean. Derestricting it in the next week or so.
Her name is Sparky and she is fun!
Hope the picture posts, Piper

Hey thanks - good tips. I ran the tests above and noticed the front left turn signal wasn't working. Looking around that area I found about four pounds of mouse nest - and that's only a slight exaggeration! So I cleaned all that out and the wires are just chewed to heck - lots of copper exposed. Blown fuse
Hi,
I just got a 2001 Elite that runs great but is blowing the fuse each time after I ride. I assume that means there's a short somewhere but I don't know much about electrical stuff. Can anyone tell me what to look for or if there's a particular place I should be checking?
Thank a mil, Piper

2001 Elite S
Hey,
I'm looking at a used '01 Elite as my first scooter....the seller says it goes 25-27 mph and he hasn't de-restricted it. I've read some posts on trying to get more speed out of this scooter and now I'm pretty confused - is it a big deal to de-restrict it? Is this something I could do myself ...
