Re: Help with Spree Piston Ring Install
No waste of time! Thanks for the help. It was a great write-up, just not specific to this kit. I put the rings on bevel up, and will figure out the rest. Thanks again for the help!

Re: Help with Spree Piston Ring Install
Thanks. I read the whole write-up already and it does not answer my questions. In the write up it is not specific enough.

Help with Spree Piston Ring Install
I just bought a top end rebuild kit for my 1985 spree. New cylinder, piston, rings, gaskets etc. The rings have no writing on them. I know that the darker thicker ring goes on top per the seller and the fact it will not fit in the bottom groove, and the smaller shiny ring goes in the bottom groove ...

Re: Spree Bogs down with throttle
O.K., not a fuel pump, but a vacuum operated fuel valve. Does anyone know (or can you test yours) how many volts should be going to the bystarter? I checked mine. I removed the bystarter wires and put my meter on the wires it plugs into. I found 2 things: First it only had power when the bike was ...

Spree Bogs down with throttle
Hello all,
My 1985 Honda Spree is driving me crazy. It will start perfectly, idle fine, but when you give it throttle it bogs down and will die unless you let off. Sounds like the carb, right? But.... i have cleaned it until its spotless. All the jets are perfect. I am POSITIVE it is clean. It has a ...

no power
Air filter is clean. I have put in a new plug and it made no difference. Not sure what you mean by a plug chop. I am not even sure if this is the recommended plug. I think its a BPH5HS or something like that. Please elaborate on the plug chop.
Thanks, Jeff
Thanks, Jeff

Lack of power
Hello,
I have a 1986 spree. It starts great, idles great. It just has very little power. On the stand you can rev it up and when it gets near full throttle it starts to cut out. I have cleaned the carb and its spotless. I am positive nothings clogged or obstructed. I have played with the air screw ...
