Okay I was lazy, I found this on Wikipedia:
Also new in 1981 is the Express SR (NX50). This is a scooter variant of the Express with a somewhat modified engine. It is the first Express to feature an electric starter, 12v electrical system and a Honda V-Matic continuously variable transmission ...

Re: tube tires vs tubeless
That's the main reason I hate tube tires, I can never get them to seat! I'm not one to put ~100 psi in a tire to get it to seat.seating the bead to the rim often requires multiple inflations/deflations

Re: Aero vs Spree whats the difference?
The Spree is pretty small. I'd almost say it's diminutive.
I understand that the early Elite's were smaller than than the later ones, but my '97 is a lot more substantial than the Spree. The '97 weighs ~150 pounds and the Spree weighs ~95 pounds.

Re: New (to me) $350 '99 Jog
Got it running! Cleaned the carb and plug, and changed the gas. I'm pretty sure that the 2T oil is from the factory.
It's a little different than working on the Hondas. For one, things don't seem as bolted in place. The carb is supported by the intake box and rubber plenum.

New (to me) $350 '99 Jog
Hello,
I picked up this Jog on Sunday off of CL, it has 262 miles and a title. Been looking for one for a while... Doesn't run though, I've been working on it, and it's getting better.

Re: Variator Question: Malossi or OEM Ruckus Variators on SA
So, I got a Polini for Ruckus on TR for 50 shipped.
I wish someone would have told me to use my stock sleeve through the middle of the variator! The ruckus one is too long. I put it together, then went to kickstart it, and blew out a little circle in the aluminum on the cover! I took it apart, put ...

I misread that and thought that he put the body panels back on the Elite and offered it 'all together' for $250.

Re: 85 Honda elite 80cc piston blow.
I'd say screw the 80 and get the Zuma. A locksmith can cut a key from the ignition, cost me 25 bucks.

Re: Variator Question: Malossi or OEM Ruckus Variators on SA
It looks like the $40 Malossi is gone. Would it have been much of an improvement over the OEM Ruckus Variator?

Variator Question: Malossi or OEM Ruckus Variators on SA50
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with the Malossi Ruckus variator on an SA50 Eite? Any idea how it would compare to the stock Ruckus variator on an Elite?
Here's some info on the Malossi Variator:

Sounds like I won't go with my plan of finding a cage to put it in and taking it to 60ish.
Thanks Wheeldude.

Re: '97 Elite (SA50) Inner Tube Questions
You've got a point Wheelman...
I examined it and it seemed okay when off the rim.
But you guys didn't answer my question, how much pressure does it usually take to seat the beads?
