Ya it sounds like a pretty bad short... start checking your wiring harness. Look for places it has been rubbed through, cut, or modified. Ignoring it will ruin your battery and possibly start your scooter and anything around it on fire (your house if it is inside)

My scooter was doing the same thing... The exhaust and carb were clean and after it warmed up it wasn't as bad, but it still had problems. I cleaned and reoiled my air filter and taped two holes someone drilled into my lid.

My scooter is now able to climb hills and doesn't die on WOT any more ...

That is why you run premix at the same time. Running a little rich on the oil will not hurt anything during the couple tanks you use.

An easy way to see is to run premix and your injector at the same time. Put a piece of tape where the oil level is and burn through a tank or two. IF the oil level drops the injectors are working.

AAhhh... frustrating.. well I'm glad someone else was having this problem at the same time. I would have driven myself nuts trying to figure out why I couldn't start my scooter.
