Re: cafe style aero seat
Just an idea, but i think you might be able to achieve what you want if you use two layers of thin foam with a panel or plate in between. That is, if you put a thin layer of good quality upholstery foam on the seat (of a thickness about equal to the depth of the dishes in the seat) and put a plastic ...

Re: I got the new Aero running... but driving it, not so hot
Can't believe I'm the first in on this, but:
You need an air filter!
Don't run it any longer until you get one. This is very important and you could seriously damage the engine if you don't.
Check here or on eBay and get a Honda filter and air box if you don't have one. You might want an ...

Re: Bought an Aero, how did I do?
You got a great deal! I love my 85 and I'm sure you'll love this one when you get it going.
You can double check the year by looking for the printed plate on the frame tube just behind the front wheel. Turn the wheel to one side, put your head close to the ground and look up.
Lucky dog!

Re: Tire Size Conversion Chart
You're welcome...I found it especially helpful in getting a handle on the inch size of the metrics but also the fact that all inch size tires are as tall as they are wide (i.e. round and not oval profile just like the 90/90)

Tire Size Conversion Chart
I'm shopping for some new tires for my Aero and found this really helpful page:
http://www.weeksmotorcycle.com/tire-siz ... chart.html
It has lots of info on sizes, load ratings, code deciphering and more.

Re: Carb Bolt Holes
I agree....to be more specific: another option is to use a bolt that will just clear the threaded carb holes and put a nut with a lockwasher on it.
It's still probably better to tap it out to 1/4" but I know what it's like to not have a tap and die set...

Another option is to use a much longer bolt that will reach out the far side and put a nut with a lockwasher on the other side.

Re: Honda Aero repair
I needed the same thing when i was getting my 85 Aero together and needing something quick I just went to the hardware store and starting looking at plumbing gaskets. I found a black rubber ring gasket that worked great for something like 50 cents. That was 2 years ago and everything seems fine, but ...

Love mine (an 85 NB50M). I just filled up at a gas station today (I usually fill from a can at home) so I was able to get my exact mpg from the last tank.
83 mpg!

Re: LED turn signal mod help!!!
I think mousewheels has it right...also, the LED is a diode (the "D") and will only pass current in one direction. Most likely this is messing with the circuit which has a large capacitor to make the relay go on and off. You might try switching them around as they have polarity but I doubt it will ...

Re: Air escaping, exhaust washer?
If you look up your scoot here and go to the muffler page, you'll see that the muffler does have a gasket:
http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx
$3.98
My Aero was missing one as well and I tried a paper gasket at first, but it burned out pretty quickly. While waiting ...

Re: DEAD SPREE NEED HELP
I'm not sure if this is the same with a spree, but I had a problem starting my Aero when I first put it together because you have to have three things for it to start:
1. Ignition Key on
2. Brake Lever Pulled
3. Run switch on
