Re: help with the spark plug
you might also try cleaning out the main jet in the carb while you're at it (common maintenance on the spree)
the spark plug is located (beneath the body panels), on the right side of the spree on the cylinder block, with a single black cable plugging into the top of it. pop the cable off, wrench ...

is the BPR6HSA common enough to be at autozone, and if not, is the BPR6HS compatible with my '86 spree?

24 hours in gasoline didn't fix it, a 30 minute sit in paint thinner didn't fix it, 15 minutes of blowing it out with an air hose didn't fix it, but an extra 24 hours in gas did! :D

i pretty much assumed that it's so screwed by this point, it didn't really matter what i did with it ;P
i haven't had any leaking problems when the system's closed, i was just thinking that the petcock allowing fuel to flow freely may have been causing my spree to idle high. right now, whenever it ...

i think i'll try that, the spree service manual instructed me to blow the petcock out with compressed air, which i did for a good five minutes, and it didn't fix anything
the filter will be nice, even if it doesn't increase performance, i won't have to clean out the main jet quite as often ;P

Spree fuel strainer
how do i get the damned thing out after i remove the petcock? the manual simply says "remove the fuel strainer and clean it", but it's not coming out of the bottom easily, and i don't see how to remove it from the top.
thanks
