mine did the same thing take the choke off and pull off the brass needle and spring then put in back on and it shoul run fune.

one word choke! it was this auto choke thing that was stuck in the down position i just toook the brass needle out and put the othe black part on a it ran likea charm top speed 37 mph

ill try it out today. and why should u even run the air filter as long as u dont go into like dusty areas
