Re: cheapcycleparts turnaround time

looked at cyclepartswarehouse for a pair of Michelin S1's, 3.00-10. Cyclepartswarehouse had that size for $39.33 each, versus $26.97 each at cheapcycleparts.

Its good to know that there are a bunch of competitors out there so I can price match and shop.

Thanks!

cheapcycleparts turnaround time

Hey all,

My rear tire was flat this morning when I got out of my apartment. I was sad, as you can imagine, but at least it didn't happen while I was at work or en route.

I ordered a set of Michelin S1's and some tubes from cheapcycleparts (among other needed parts). The site lists the expected ...

Re: What's the dumbest/most embarrassing way to hurt yourself?

this one results from a newb experimenting with carb cleaning...

So i took apart my carb and air filter and everything, replaced the reeds, gaskets on the intake, etc. Did a pull-down, cleaned everything * and span and put the engine components back together. Needing to get it cranked again before ...

Re: Electrical Problems?

Yes it runs, it sparks. Only occasionally will I hear the popping. It'll pop a few times and the rpm will be noticeably slower. Today for the first time it popped enough to stall (at an intersection).

Thanks!

Electrical Problems?

I was riding along today and my scoot started making popping noises at idle (red light) that sounded like wires arcing and then stalled. This is the first time stalling had happened, although I had heard the noise before. I tried to look at it when I got home but couldn't find where the noise was ...

Re: '01 SA50 rough starting

Wheelman,

Thanks for the help! I purchased some gasket paper after doing some searching and finding what the reeds were actually used for (exemplifying the importance of a good seal for a poor newb).

On the advice of other posts regarding this issue, I was thinking of also putting a dab of lithium ...

Re: '01 SA50 rough starting

Thanks for the help! I finished cleaning the carb this evening and once my head stops spinning I'll head on over to honda to get a new plug and set of reeds.

Re: '01 SA50 rough starting

took apart the carb and the intake manifold, couldn't find any blue fluid or evidence of oil. It smells strongly of gasoline, but no oil is apparent.

currently cleaning the carb, i also bought some gasket paper to replace the gasket in the intake manifold. What should I be looking at in the reeds ...

'01 SA50 rough starting

Hey all,

I spent about 15 minutes searching through the forums trying to find a solution for this problem to no avail (a few leads, but nothing completely similar to my problem). I'm a newb, so please accept my apologies for missing what I'm sure are obvious symptoms of a problem.

So I've been ...

I was out having the time of my life then it started raining :'(

I don't know how you guys can spend time on these forums instead of riding your scooters, but I certainly appreciate that you do! I'm sure a little of the fun will wear off after a while. :-)

The tires looked tubeless because the ...

Yeah, sorry for the lack of info. There is a sticker under the seat that says SA501.

Where would I be able to find the VIN # or engine?

Super noob buys super bike!

I bought the scooter!

Started a new thread because I have a lot of new questions.

1.) The Taillight is on when the ignition is on, BUT there is no light to indicate when I am stopping. I see online that there are two different parts:
SKU: 34906-MG9-771
BULB, STOP & TAILLIGHT (Honda Code 1700301 ...

Would it be wrong of me to compression-check the engine for bad rings?

If not, how much compression should I get? Would that be off of a kick start?

Thanks again!
