Cold bloded spree please help

My 86 spree is cold blooded as he#%*! I've cleaned the carb real good, used fresh gas, sea foam, Drano'd the exhaust, charged the battery, and I've adjusted the carb to MANY different settings and it still stall's when I stop. And during the warm up it spits and sputters until it warms up. After a ...

Re: elite ingnition problem??

The plug fouled out and the scooter stopped running. The plug was very wet and dirty so I poked a hole in one of the baffles and removed the air filter and now it runs like a champ, 30mph+. I drove a few miles and checked the plug...it looks PERFECT!

Does anyone know why?

Re: elite ingnition problem??

Thanks, it just so happens I have a can of Sea Foam in my cabinet that I haven't tried yet (didn't even think of it).

I just check the spark in the dark like you suggested and saw no jumping spark. After I posted this thread I also tried swapping the coil from my spree with no joy then swapped the ...

Re: Milling the head of an 86 spree

I always used premium gas because I never knew what the scooter needed so I figured better safe than sorry. My neighbor has machinery that will allow me to mill the head true, :D .
The bottom end of the motor went bad so now im rebuilding it. And to reference "circusracer". Your right the piston is ...

elite ingnition problem??

I just got an 89 elite sb50p and it wont go past 17-20mph, it gets a little faster when it warms up it's like the ignition keeps cutting out at high rpm. I've changed the jets from 68 to 65, changed 3 plugs and experimented with different plug gaps. I've got a good battery, I rebuilt the carb, fresh ...

SPREE MOTOR SWAP

Can someone please tell me what is the biggest motor that will bolt into my spree?
Im sure this question has come up a lot but im dyslexic which means it very hard for me to read. It would take me all day to look it up.
I tweaked my motor and got more speed but I guess the bottom end couldn't ...

Mines an 86 with 4300 miles on it. My moms boss gave it to her and she gave it to me, so I nick named it the Honda free. All I had to do was rebuild it.

I flooded the motor with the 68 jet, I'll try it again after I port it.

Well if I can take away .020" for next to nothin' then I don't think im gonna' pay someone to mill a perfectly good head down.

I got this scooter for free and my goal was to see how much I could improve on it without spending more than the bikes worth. So far im up to $170, that includes new ...

I'll take a look at the intake tomorrow, this would be my first porting experience. I've done a bit of reading about porting over the years so I feel confident I won't screw it up. Do I need any last minute advice?

Im not sure what to do to the mani, when I look inside I see something that looks like it's completely blocking off the intake. When I push on it with my finger it opens up. Since I didn't know what it was I decided to just leave it there.

p.s. When I looked in the exhaust mani I didn't find any ...

Milling the head of an 86 spree

Can someone please tell me if milling the head down will improve the low rpm torque. I just don't want to go through the expense of a motor swap or a bore kit.

Thanks to this forum I've gotten my free spree up to 34mph (from 28mph) on flat ground but I lost some bottom end.
