So i have a really low mile 50 sr that i bought with 1100 miles on it and it now has 1350 miles on it. Out of nowhere it didn't want to start one time. Yeah, a pretty advanced little scooter. Just use regular gas, starts in the cold, storage under seat, etc.

It is not as pretty as a honda scoot, i will grant ya.

Well I am actually going with another scoot that is in the area-- a 2007 yamaha c3 with 1400 miles-- guy told me he would take 1300. I always wanted one of those and the fuel injection is what sold me on the thing.

How much duct tape is on your spree? I'm holding one of my rear turn signals on with it, the metal broke off when it was knocked over. So the entire left turn signal is held on by duct tape.

Well only driving during the day is obvious. Gas is a problem as well as oil. Tire pump, patches. I would also assume you would want to take breaks and let the engine cool off and your butt to rest up between tanks. Sunblock would be pretty important. Then credit card camping would be the best ...

My spree has been crapping out on me top speed has dropped to like 28 mph and it bogs down. Think i need to shoot it or rebuild the carb one or the other.

Just an observation about my spree-- if you inflate the tires to 40 psi it really changes the ride of the spree and you feel all the bumps more but one huge advantage i have noticed is it's way quicker off the line. Sprees are slower than crap from stop and this seems to help that quite a bit.

You take off all the plastic and then take off the muffler-- a metric socket set helps. Then you look in the end of the muffler that goes into the motor and if it's got a plate in it that restricts it you get a dermal tool or something and open up the restriction.

Price and ease of installation would be a factor. Although i think i might just get a faster scoot and sell my spree. It's been good to me but its old and slow.

I have been thinking about upgrading to a big elite from my spree. At least an 80. Those are plenty fast for around town in 35 mph zones aren't they?

Check out this ebay auction for a metropolitan 2. Why in the world would the thing stock do 24 mph, it has to have something wrong with it, right?

There is probably a practical limit to how far you can go on a spree, obviously the thing has a half gallon tank. I have never had any problems at any distance i have gone and i put 2500 miles on mine in about one year.
