well I sold me spree and Im going to pick up the Jazz tomorrow after work. Luckily I will still be around this site because my roommate is picking up a spree in the next few days with intentions of doing the dio swap.

that would be a good clone to get. Not sure about quality of plastics and such, but you could probably build it up same as a zip since it should be the same case.

I'll have about 1000 to spend after I sell my spree. I am looking at this 2000 elite s around here for 850 but i was wondering if there were any other scoots in this price range that are capable of being modded enough to go about 60-65.

yea. i would like to do the top end pulley mod eventually. still, like you said, this isnt right, haha.

I did a few mods, but i dont know if they are supposed to reduce top end. I know the pulley mod does but heres what i did:

Shaved head .020
Ported intake/exhaust
gutted muffler
new rings
elite shock

thats pretty much it and it gained mad torque and runs fine, but it tops out at like 28 ...

correct me if I wrong guys but i believe that is a compression ring. it just pushes the ring out further to maintain compression. We have it on the spree pistons too.

ah i hear ya. oh well, im a college student. that big bore kit is more important to me than insurance, haha.

I did get pulled over once for not wearing eye protection?!?! im pretty sure I just saw somewhere that eye protection is NOT required.
