So it has good compression. That leaves fuel or spark. Does it have a spark when the plug is grounded? If it does then its fuel related. Could be a clogged filter, defective fuel control valve, dirty carb.

I drilled the petcock through from the top and top hole, capped the vacuum line on the petcock and carb and the problem is solved till I get a good petcock. I bought one on EBay but it was worse than mine. It really leaked.

Take a look at the fuel control valve under the tank. When you put a vacuum on the bottom hose gas should come out of the top hose. The fuel control valve can get stuck. It needs a good spark, compression, and the right amount of fuel to run.

I have the bottom of the fuel control valve running to the intake manifold and the top off of the fuel valve running to the carburetor bowl. I left the bottom (smaller line) off last night and sure enough it drained about an inch of gas into the can I had under it. Apparently the diaphram has a hole ...

engine is full of gas

My Spree engine fills will gas so much the engine will not turn over. I am pretty certain it is coming from the fuel control valve vacuum line. This runs into the intake manifold and if it were leaking it would do this. The gas line is regulated by the float and valve so it cannot be getting into ...

float needle part number??????

What is the difference between 16155-883-005 and 16155-168-681? Both are listed in the schematic on DiscountHonda.com and both are float valves (needles). I have a 1986 Spree and need this part but do not know which one I need. Thanks Dspecht

Spree will not start.....HELP!!!!!!!

This was running like new, then when I crank it over it floods the engine. I have checked the needle/float, the fuel vacuum control, etc. When I put a vacuum on the hose, gas flows out of the gasline, but doesn't stop right away (it keeps flowing for several seconds). I am also getting drips of gas ...
