Most people will recommend Honda GN2. It is good stuff.

Royal Purple TCWIII full synthetic. Dreaded oil thread impending.
Just don't cheap out and you'll be fine. There are a lot of good lubes out there. Stick to quality oil, as the above examples. If there is a picture of a weed-whacker on the bottle, put it down.

Re: Best oil for spree?
Greetings:
Higher-output modded engines increase lubricant demands. I think that's why hot-rodders seek an "edge" if they perceive some brand will provide it. A Spree with its modest aspirations should be fine with just about anything, but I really like Spreetard's comment. You can't save very much money on this, so why not go with what Honda-san recommends?

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Re: Best oil for spree?
is there another source for honda gn2 oil other than HONDA? I'm well over 2 hours from the nearest honda shop; just a lot of walmarts and true value.

My choice is Yamalube. Not priced to high and not junk either. Good stuff Yamalube is.

I use Valvoline 2-Stroke Motorcycle Oil. Plain ol' Valvoline Multi-Purpose 2-Stroke works great also. Usually easier to find than GN2
