Genuine Scooters Rattler 110?

Post by eliteguy50 »

Do you know anything about them? I am told they are domestic (major plus to me) and the owner is the guy who started scooterworks.
Is this a honda or yamaha engine copy? I know Yamaha has 110 2t that is not imported to the USA market.

Here is the site: http://www.genuinescooters.com/scooters ... ttler.html

The reason I ask is because I have the opportunity to buy one at a really good price from a dealer that is going under.
Thanks

genuine 2 stroke scooters have a yamaha copy engine and the rattler is a zuma copy.
Nothing like getting stroked!

I can get one for less than a new zuma 50 would cost me. msrp is $2699 But I am looking at one for $2050 out the door from a dealer going under. You have a dealer right next to you in Milwaukee: http://www.houseofgenuinescooters.com/

If they won't discount though, the dealer I am talking to has 2 available and he is only 2.5 hours away from you (2 hours from me).

2001 Honda Elite

1994 Yamaha Axis

I can't believe
that cop put me
in the backseat
when I clearly
called shotgun.

I have worked at a scooter repair shop for the past 15 years; and have seen quite a few Rattlers. One downside to the Rattler is it is one HEAVY scooter. -To me it seemed to weigh a ton compared to an Elite 50, Zuma, etc.

just an idea.... it looks pretty cool, however :coolcruise:

I was wondering about that. I could not find a stat anywhere for a wet or dry weight. That is one of the reasons I got rid of my last zuma, the centerstand was not user friendly on slick surfaces but the Ruckus was the same weight and is easier to put on the centerstand than my sa50. There is ice here so the dealer wont let me run around the parking lot yet :(

This is concerning. Why have you seen so many?
