Did you mean with ramp is $50 or literally a ramp plate for $50 on top of price for variator?

Apparently the SEF ramp plate only fits AF16 (94-01). I'd still call VT and see if they have a ramp plate for the SE50, you're gonna need it. The link you posted is for the 3 plastic guides that go on the ramp plate.

On top of the price :werd: Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. Can I install the variator without the ramp? Will I still get some benefit? :eyeroll:

No, not if you still have the restricted "flat" SE50P ramp plate.

Carb just came in the mail. I have not even opened the box yet. IDK even what the ramp is or where it is, I was just trusting that you knew what you were talking about to make this thing perform. And I was following advice. 8)

Go HERE

See how flat the ramp plate on the left is compared to the one on the right? The ramps are pretty non-existent and this is only an 87 elite SE50P thing as far as i know (other models have retrictor plates etc, not the 87 SE50P). Trust me martynkim...trust me . If you have the flat plate then you are restricted and your belt will NOT go any further up the Keli pulley. And i don't think Daywot wants $50 for a ramp plate.

I just got a reply from Patrick (daywot on ebay) about his ramp plates. That $50 Polini ramp plate is pretty sweet!
Daywot wrote:Hi, yes I carry a performance ramp plate for the 87 elite se50. it sells for $15 and includes 3 new guides (sliders). It is not listed in my ebay store however it is available and is ready to ship.

I also carry a performance ramp plate made by Polini. here is my listing on ebay:

Please let me know if you have any questions

Ok, I emailed him and he did not respond. Strange.... :surprise: Anyway carb and cable is on Bike idles fine. Runs Good 8) Tried to just put on the carb and it idled when warm not cold. Put on the cable and it idles all the time :woot: Cable was stretched out somehow. Got a little misfire, but probably the cheap autolite plug. gonna go get an NGK for it tomorrow. I think that should clean it up :ndance: I'll try to get in touch with daywot again and get that ramp
