Yeah I wouldn't worry about brakes, my aero pushes 45 and a have stock brakes. Just make sure your shoes are good and your set.

so with the vari, getting it off you will need something to hold the outer pulley half in place. or use in impact wrench to rip it off (gently)
just make sure your rollers are in there right, settled in between the vari and ramp plate before you zip the nut back on.
you should get quite a few mphs.
and have you installed the exhaust yet? after you do check your plug to make sure you arent running lean. (you want cardboard brown, no lighter)
let us know how this all goes!

Squeeze the belt down into the clutch as far as you can. You need to have slack in the belt when putting the drive pulley back on (drive pulley has the teeth that the starter engages...opposite the variator). You risk stripping the splines off the crank if you don't have slack, then you'll need a crank.

Can't remember...7mm or 8mm socket. I think 8mm (5/16). Why are you taking that off? You should use the keli variator, ramp, rollers, and slides. Forget about that cover on your old variator unless you're getting to the slides and rollers (new are recommended but use what you got for now if you have to).

Greetings:

A thin-walled 1/4" drive 7mm socket or 12-point box-end wrench is required. May need a trip to the Tool Store, Yay!

Leave that brass plate off the vari and throw it away. Also, don't grease the rollers.

Imagine your 87 elite motor on the lightweight spree frame. That's what to expect with the aero motor (same motor) :woot:
