New 1986 Spree owner with issues!
So I was on Craig's List last night after I was done working on my car and my Girlfriend looks at me and says "Hey we should get some SICK little scooters" so I looked. I found a cool teal and white 86 Spree for $125 so I went and picked it up. When I got there the kid said that it was not running and he thought it was the petcock, I am not sure how he came to that. I work on cars a little so I am handy with a wrench. I got it home and started to look around, I took the carb off and gave it a little cleaning and also checked the float. It still will not start, so I took the petcock off and blew into to it and the top nipple blew out air but the bottom nipple did not seem to be. Should the bottom nipple flow free with air as well? How do you tell if a petcock is bad? Thank you

The bottom nipple is the vacuum input, so you don't want to be able to get flow through it.
The Honda Spree manual outlines some tests and is available here:
