Carb idle and mixture screws

Post by dewdropper »

Does anyone have a picture of a carb (or able to explain it...) that shows where the idle mixture and idle speed screws are located?

I have a general idea...and found the tech docs about their adjustments, but I just wanted to make sure that I know which one is which.

I don't really need a picture if it can be explained in detail. Thanks!

Flat head screw is air mixture.
Phillips head screw is idle.

uhm, they're both flat head screws, atlest on my spree and should be on all others.

the one with the spring is the air/fuel mixture screw.

second screw is idle screw (doesnt really do anything).

very bottom screw is drain.
projects galore :nerd:

no,no,no,no,no,no!! U got it backwards.... The one with Spring on it is the idle and the other one is the air/fuel....the air/fuel does do stuff but just barely...when u get the idle just right and then change the air/fuel screw, the idle will go up or down VERY SLIGHTLY almost not noticeable. But if you can notice the change then have the idle sounding high (after changing the air/fuel not the idle) otherwise it runs richish.
