Well, you have pretty much seen what the performance mods are on it. I may add a ZX trans in the future but that is a year or two off. As far as the whole project, I still need to fix the electrical; clean, fix, add tabs and paint the plastics and finally tune the carb and variator. Once all that is done I will replace the other small things as they annoy me such as the kick stand and rear view mirrors.

I was able to get a bit more done tonight. I got the electrical fixed and put back on the scoot. I don't think I have ever seen so much black tape in one place. The motor is back together now with the carb, filter, engine shroud and exhaust in place. The kick start cover was put back on to start it up but I need to sand it down and paint it.

I got the front panel painted since it was the least damaged piece, all tabs intact. I couldn't resist seeing how it looked.

A few seconds to let the carb fill and its alive!

All the panels have been painted and the front few installed. All the "exterior" panels got a few coats of flat black fusions. The "interior" panels got a few coats of black spray on bed liner. I have used this stuff before and it works very well for surfaces that see a bit of abuse.

I still need to tune the carb and vair so the rear panels will remain off to make access to the carb and plug easier. If work, school and the weather cooperate I hope to get it buttoned up this week.

It almost looks road worthy

ahh. sorry didnt see that. Are those stocker wheels? I was told running a tubeless on the stock wheels is rather sketchy and to upgrade to a met (metropolitan) wheel because they are wider

thoughts?

Those tires I am running have a tube. I don't know anything about a metropolitan wheel.
