It's alive! My 48mm taz kit roars to life.

Post by Trafficjamz »

10 am - got the 48mm kit today for my spree. OOOHHH pretty

I let spreetard do some port work on the jug this afternoon after I Magicsticked the head.

I put the 100 jet in the carb ,put the bbk on the scooter. fired it up at 8:15pm

It was very loud because I had not put the exhaust on yet :surprise: don't worry, I only ran it for two seconds at the most like that.

Has any one else got there 48mm bbks to fire up yet?

im just waiting to see what people will be getting out of this with the stock pulley set up. and if a bigger carb will eventually be needed.

thanks for sharing the pics, looking good. Be sure to report back when you get a chance to do a road test. I am really curious how a spree performs with the BBK on it.

Please ride it. I have not had time to build my engine yet. I am very anxious to here the results of the low end. I bet that kit sounded chunky. mohahahah

We just finished a 44mm bbk with gears and a slight pully mod. It's top speed is 42 mph, and has decent take off too.

Taz
Well this one has no gears or pully mod. So the low end should be great!

Can you say wheelie machine. :thumbwink:

with stock gearing, that one should really pull well off the line. I it has the low end to pull wheelies that would be sweet! We need some wheelie pics so the humble sprees start getting more respect around here :thumbwink:

ps. just a heads up that I paypaled you shipping for that 84 spree crank gear.

My custom car stereo shop is quickly becoming a custom scooter shop. :surprise:
