The pulley mod is shaving the inner part of the front pulley, so that the belt rides higher in the front pulley.

It increases top speed....but done to the extreme makes the take off speed suffer :sad:

Now I get there a lot quicker :thumbwink:

I have an elite e clutch on my spree.

I think it helps alot.

Without knowing your rpm's it is hard to say why you can only reach 25mph. :confused:

does that bolt right on (elitie e clutch) ? and keeps the factory spree belt ?

Unless the BBK adds RPM to the engine (not likely), all you are gonna see is added acceleration. The gears should help your top speed BUT it sounds more like a clutch issue than a belt issue. You need to NOT fixate on anyone thing as you are doing. You have to check all the things that can cause your problem. To add RPM you will need a bigger carb and intake system and a modded or after market exhaust.

Yup bolts right up

Less slipping because of more clutch pad surface area.

Did your spree go more than 25mph before? Does it get there quicker now?

yea it gets there quicker, it was 25mph before upgrade, but it feels as thought it has more guts but the clutch slipping issue at full throttle isnt allowing it to grab as good as it can, thus maybe giving it an extra few mph

My spree 48mm bbk is riding on a 80/90 tire. That helps with the top speed too.

It seems that the gear upgrade alone should have got you another 4-5 mph.

Does it seem not to revs as high as it used to?

25 before the upgrade sounds like it is an IOWA Spree and the restictor would kill the top end. It would make it quicker to 25 but no faster.

well i think my clutch is worn to ****, it had 8,000 miles on stock motor as far as i know of, i think the pads need to be replaced

What restrictor?

didn't iowa sprees just have different gears?

no restricter in the muffler and the VIN is 60, so its not an IOWA spree

FYI, there were a * of a lot more Iowa Sprees made that I ever thought. Close to 140,000 made with 1986 being the biggerst number at over well over 90,000 built. They also had the restricter washer in the exhaust pipe.
