caito wrote:all bulbs have been replaced and ground wire successfully connected. upon closer inspection of the red wires leading to the fuse... theyre burnt. so is the fuse casing. this said, does the entire casing need replacing, or just the wires? also, there's a black... i don't know, maybe a fuse-box, that hangs out beside the battery casing, and is routed directly with the fuse. does it probably need replaced also?

we're pretty sure it's not the wiring harness anymore, and that we have targeted the problem specifically to this area (fingers crossed!)

are these two parts easily obtainable at an auto-parts store? if not, it's internet (or you guys :P).

one more question -- how far back am i likely going to have to replace wiring?

EDIT: let me also note that i did check out the manual, but the poor photograph quality and explanation has me unsure whether it's the CDI unit, starter relay, or something else entirely. it has like... almost a loop on the side of the battery's casing where it hangs out at.
The box is not a fuse box and probably doesn't need replaced and the fuse holder doesn't need to be a oem Honda one you could buy a better one check the local auto parts stores for fuse holders.

I am not sure if that link works as I do not have a zip code. So I do not know if it takes you to the correct page(I also do not know what page it is meant to go to but I am guessing a page with fuse holders)

appropriate fuse casing obtained and connected.

still nothing. we opened the front plastics to find several of the wires (read: all turn-signal wires) nicked. the front turn signal wires were cut completely away.

two questions, i guess:

1. do the turn signals have one circuit, front and back? or is the fact the front turn signal wires are severed unrelated to the back not working? keep in mind please that the brake light does not work either.

2. if the answer to #1 is not the easy one, who should i PM that might have a wiring harness? will rewiring the whole d*** thing solve this problem once and for all?

don't worry, someone more wiring-competent than i am will be doing the job.
please be patient with me. i promise i'll try to understand.

Well it said originally that; "Without both light bulbs in the circuit the flasher will not warm up enough to flash. An electronic flasher would cure this.

Can't help you on the harness thing, but I see you already posted an ad.

Lord only knows where the real post went but I typed carefully and even spell check and it just went off into the ether.

well, wiring harness is on its way. with any luck you won't hear a whole lot more questions from me (at least for the next two weeks or so!), but i'll update you guys with lots of pictures. assuming everything goes well, he'll be a different color soon...
