Gaskets

Post by cheydogge »

Does anyone know if they sell whole gasket kits for elite engines or do you have to buy them individually?

They sell entire gasket kits for several different elite engines. Did you have a specific engine in mind? Like a 1989 elite S (sa50p) for example.

HondaBond is what they use for the main case union. You should get a cylinder head and base gasket with your BBK but you typically have to buy your own exhaust gasket.

You can search ebay for a gasket set and get a few options. Honda sells a gasket kit (Honda code: 6379440) but I don't know what all gaskets that includes.

Cool I was wandering if there was a gasket when you split the case.

Honda didn't do that in the 1994-2001 motors. The other motors do have a gasket there.
