Newbie with NQ50 help pleas

Recently i got a hold of this 1986 se50 i believe thats the code number..
it was sitting in the garage of my rented apartment.

The owner didnt want it so she gave it to me..

i was shocked when i saw that it only had 28 miles..

Owner said that the scooter have been sitting inside the garage all her life..

The scooter doesnt even have plates nor keys..

I already drain all the fluids, change the battery, filter, got a key made.

But before i crank it..

what else should i look into it?

I dont know crap about bikes, but just the general items..

Any help, ill really appreciated

Pull the spark plug and pour a cap full of 2 stroke oil into the cylinder, this will lube the cylinder walls on startup.

You might want to mix the gas in the first gas tank at 30 to1 oil mix for extra lube after sitting so long.

1986 Se 50? might recheck that code.

You did not mention your location, but the se50 was only a option for the 1987 USA model year. Ran longer in Canada though. Post a pic and we can tell you for sure.

Did you change the tranny oil?
How about the tires, do they hold air? Any cracks or dry rot?
Check your brakes before you go for a ride, they can rust in place after sitting that long.

Where is the best place to purchase maint. fluids and parts for this baby?

ill check the spark plug..

tires still hold air.. but there are some cracks thou..
ill do the tranny fluid now..

im located in CA.

Should i be worried about the carbs?

Yes it is a NQ50 Spree. First thing to do is read the manual here:

Then read some stuff on here using the search button.

For fluids, your local Honda dealer has the GN-2 two stroke oil that is Wheelman approved, Oil for the rear differential is either 10W30 or 10W40, the manual has the type listed.

Again, manual and search are your pals.

Dual carb spree I like it.

Just clean them both carbs really good.

Greetings:

Does the engine turn over easily? If not, do not force! There is a possibility that oil has leaked slowy out the pump and has filled your crankcase.
If it does turn over, I recommend you do as The Bear suggested and pour 5cc of GN-2 down the spark plug hole, then perform a compression check. If that's over 125 then install the old plug and see if it fires - AFTER you thoroughly clean the carb, tank and fuel screen in the tank. Unplug both the lines from the petcock at the carb and manifold, respectively. Apply vacuum to the smaller hose that leads to the Vac petcock to ensure fuel flows with vacuum. If it does, put the larger hose back on the carb and pull vacuum again to fill the clean carb bowl.

If it starts, let it idle a while to warm up. Take a short ride if it'll go. When the expected smoke clears, install a new NGK BPR6 plug before you try to tune anything.

I do not agree with adding that much premix if the pump is working.

1. It will likely foul the plug.
2. You already added that spoonful of oil for startup.
3. It will make the mixture leaner, risking overheating what is essentially a fresh too end. Perhaps 75 or 100:1 fuel/oil if you must, but not 30:1.

Consider new tires and drive belt before you ride too far from home. 25 year-old rubber is brittle and may fail at a bad time.

I have never done a compression test so i hope youtube can be my friend.. on that one..
I will try to work on the bike this weekend and ill report back..
the tires are done for sure.. and the other thing that is bugging me is that i dont know how much
will i need to pay at the dmv to get new plates an register a 25 year old bike..
if is like 800 bucks ill cry hard..
