Greetings:

40 dollars for 2 tires, maybe 60 with tubes. Another 20 for a new drive belt. A can of carb cleaner and maybe a gallon bucket of Dip will add another $65 to the tab, unless Pipples Republik of Kalifornia levies a Green Tax on Highly Toxic Hydrocarbon Solvents. :)
Beyond that, a license plate, spark plug, gas and oil. I doubt you get to $400.

Dude what a sweet find with only 28 miles :surprise:

Thats awesome! That thing should be out of the DMV system by now. Did the previous owner have the pink slip? I'm guessing the DMV will get you for around $115 to get it registered and titled in your name. You might be able to get away with paying less if you note that it was given to you for free. That way you dont have to pay state sales tax on it.

mmm
no title.
i already spend 30 bucks making a key from the ignition cylinder.

I believe they will nail me since the bike wasnt put into non op.

If is 115 damm ill pay it without a heart beat..

if its more than 200 ouch.. ill think about it..

But overall i cant go wrong on this bike... the owner already agreed to sign me a release form as a gift =-)

So everything looks good for now.. dont know how it will go with the motor, but since it have been sitting inside the garage all this years
i hope is not that bad..

Greetings:

Not much can go wrong with the engine in 28 miles. If the engine was indoors with a spark plug installed, with any luck the rings haven't rusted and stuck. You must handle startup carefully, with a little oil smeared into the top end and all should be well.

The years of evaporation will create issues in the fuel system, but few can't be overcome with time and enough Highly Toxic and Deadly Solvent.

Can't help much with the DMV, but that scooter is a Time Capsule. It doesn't appear to need much more than a good dusting, but

ONE MORE THING: I strongly recommend a new filter element be installed. After 25 years, yours is probably crumblier than the pound cake at Stuckey's. Also make sure the airbox cover and all related gaskets and hoses are airtight.

Greetings:

I'm not sure what parts you could possibly need. If you're staying stock, your nearest Honda-san Anointed Dealer is the quickest way, and they don't charge shipping. Not directly, anyway.

Make friends with those guys. I've bought them Pizza a couple of times, now they treat me like Royalty. Really, red carpet, sprinkle rose petals, the whole lot. Well, not really, but they - Get this! - Lend me tools. If you don't have a dealer near you, my local dealer is Deepinnaharta Honda. You can use their parts Fiche to identify your part number, then Google-search the best prices. Get an extra Pepperoni for Crusty the Service Tech. He eats a whole Large by himself. :)

Your local honda dealer will be as cheap or cheaper than the majority of websites. Flea-bay occasionally has some good deals. But for the everyday maintenance stuff your local guy is a better choice.

Ouch!

The local dealer charges around $10. All you need is a code frome the back of the ignition switch.

I'd recommend to ask around the forum first before making more purchases :imo:

I swear dude. Got one done for a Gyro switch about a month ago for $9 and some change with tax included. I got it done at my local Honda Powersports in Palmdale, CA

That is ok. The spree does not have a diff anyway. If you are talking about the tranny gears, just regular ol 4t motor oil is what you need.
