Im back ;)

Post by tommy9345 »

I was here a few months ago, got a spree off a friend for 5$. Knew nothing about them, just knew it didn't run. And it still doesnt, but i've narrowed the causes down. First off, the starter solenoid is broken as far as I know, its stuck and won't turn, even when hooked up to the battery. Second, I took the carb off to clean it and its actually missing the float bowl needle.. and when I took the bowl off, water was leaking out of it, that can't be good right? haha, ive also been trying to start it with a drill, I made a custom bit to fit the flywheel and it still wouldnt start, even with gas in the hole. What else could be wrong? Does it need to be hooked up to a battery to start even without the electric start?

No you do not need a battery to start it.

It probably isn't gonna start with that big of a carb issue.
