Spree Turn Signal Ground Wires
so i picked up some blinkers and they both only have one wire connected which is a light blue one and a orange one. im guessing theyre supposed to have a green ground wire. I was wondering if any one has made a home made ground wire and if not any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. they are lights like these, http://i.ebayimg.com/19/!B3vmoNQ!mk~$(K ... !~~_12.JPG

They ground thru the mounting bolt.

If they ground thru the mounting bolt, then they have a ground once you mount the light assembly to the scooter.

Re: Spree Turn Signal Ground Wires
it needs a ground. depending on ur application it may need a ground wire. if u are bolting it on similar to stock(onto the rear rack which acts as ur ground) then no. if it will look more like the front turn assm. then yes.
i was in the position recently, i opted to get an integrated tail/brake/turn set up. one ground, no headaches and looks pretty dope.

OrThe blue and orange wires are stock on your rear turnsignal rack. If you cut an splice your wires to make them longer you can plug them both into your stock harness. If you look at the rear of your frame you will see the blue and orange wires your signals are suppose to connect to. Everythings color coded. Hope this helps
Re: Spree Turn Signal Ground Wires

18 to 20 gauge copper stranded wire should do for the rear lights ground.

Male bullet terminal.THANKS. any idea what the male side of the wire is called and where i can get one?
- You could try a post in for sale/wanted and someone may be able to cut some off an bad harness or even sell a harness. With a harness, the needed length of wire may be present.
- There's an aftermarket source of bullet connectors a member found - http://www.vintageconnections.com/ Takes a bit to find the part. First click on the "Price List" link from the home page. Then scroll down and look for "SB2". I think its the correct part - but have never ordered from them.

Re: Spree Turn Signal Ground Wires
Ok so i got three unused wires. one is a red and green wire and the other two are just green. The two green have different female connectors. one is a regular connector and the other is like a "B". the red and green wire has the same "B" connector. what are the wires used for? which one is ground? if im installing signal lights, where do my ground wires go? thanks!
Re: Spree Turn Signal Ground Wires
Green is ground and the double connector allows you to plug more than 1 item into that ground wire. A green with a red stripe is for the oil level sensor. As far as I know there is no red with a green stripe. You turn signal grounds go to the double green connector.spree808 wrote:Ok so i got three unused wires. one is a red and green wire and the other two are just green.
