Well I seemed to fix the 48mm BBK spree install I was having trouble with. I went with only one thin base gasket, without a milled head, and suprisingly, all is well(no contact). Scoot runs 20-25 at half throttle. Running oil injection plus 1.5oz of oil in a full tank for break-in. Maxima scooter pro 2t, nice stuff. I'm getting some serious bog from idle and if let sit to idle for a short time, needs some massasing to clear out and get going. Not much power from a standing stop, but once it moving 10 or so mph, it clears out and takes off. I'm running 100 jet, 1 turn out, drilled stock air box(runs better this way than with uni). Any suggestions? Should I try a smaller jet? Possibly more time to break-in? Any help would be great, thanks.

Here's some pics of the plug after two short runs around the neighborhood, maybe 5-7 minute rides, mostly under 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Looks real rich too me.

It looks over oiled and with that much oil you will never get a good reading on your plug. Just how much oil are you running and what brand?

That plug is wet and will probably foul out soon if it hasnt already done so. I think the un-atomized fuel on the plug is a sign that it is overly rich. You want the scoot to run rich during initial break-in, but not like that. Try down-jetting like to a 98 or 95 and re-test. Maybe even adjust the carb to allow a little more air in.

Yes, I think I need to try down jetting. I'll get a couple different sizes and see what happens. As far as the oil and amount(which I had stated in the opening of the post), It's the stock oil injection plus 1.5 oz in a full tank of gas. Maxima scooter pro 2t oil. Seem like too much for a 48mm BBK break-in?
