it only sparks once

it was running fine earlier today, then it wont fire, took out the plug and checked it on the frame and its only sparking one time thats all, just a quick flash and thats all. PLEASE HELP

i replaced both earlier today, Just did a 50mm big bore kit, performane cdi and coil, exhaust. Fired it up to check it out and it ran for awhile and then it happened

the performance cdi's are not as good as the factory ones and tend to burn up. no personal experience just what ive heard.
in the us market the cdi's were not restricted so with the aftermarket ones dont show any improvement.

Yeah, a performance CDI isn't gonna give you any thing except grief. Reinstall the stock one and it will probably fix it.

ok i replaced back with the original cdi and i had awsome spark, so i put the plug back in and it fired for like 5 secs and and died. pulled the plug and the same thing, one little spark and thats all

Even if the key is not there, every time the magnet passes the sensor, you should have a spark.

Try ohms checking the stator coils per the manual. While you are at it ohms check the ignition coil too.
