It's a "prima" kit that is supposedly made by malossi. There was Taiwan marked on the box so I'm not so sure about that.

I'm running Yamilube High performance 32:1. It's a blend that a local shop recommended.

I ordered a Fast-Tach so I can check the revs. They do seem pretty high

d*** Baka! You are the man! Could you place some bets for me?

I just got my Pocket Tach from the makers of Tiny Tach. Turns out their office is a mile from my house.

So this is WOT until 50 mph. I'm surprised it's that high. I saw 9420 max also.

Greetings:

All the Flashes cracked 10K RPM, and variator maxed at 9500 made the best power. Yamahas are reputed to spin up faster still, so don't be surprised at seeing 93-9400.

Nice tach!

I help tune minarelli engines too. A guy I helped had a prima pipe on his buddy50 .I use to go on the buddy50 forum too.haven't been there in a whileDoes that pipe pull the hardest at around 8800 or higher?

Wheelman: It's comforting to know those revs around so scary. I'm still weary of my new motor but with every post I read I become more confident.

Baka: I'd say 8500-8900 is the sweet spot. Perhaps I'll load some heavier rollers in there unless I can find a pipe that's tuned higher  :naughty:

If you do go heavier, do it in .5 or 1g total weight change. Doing 3g total weight jumps is WAY to much. Being that you modded that much.the engine will be sensitive to changes.the .5g or 1g jump doesn't sound much but the fine tunning is where its at to get it right.

Your "Tiny Tach" is really cool; I like that!!

I will post up pics of my new digital Daytona Temp Gauge and mounting bracket soon. It works great, and looks great, too!
