custom mount for a trailtech vapor

Post by Trafficjamz »

I don't wanna mount my vapor gauge the same way everybody else does.

So I am going to attempt a custom fiberglass pod, that replaces the stock gauges.

Here are a few pics of the begining steps.

Air temp
Cylinder head temp
RPM's
Max rpm's
Max head temp
speedometer
engine run time

I guess I will be losing my bright light indicator and oil light, but I am doing a HID con version too, and I premix oil and gas.
I will also not have a fuel gauge  but do have a tripometer and I can always look in the tank  .

void buying from nitroelite419. He is a deadbeat seller. Promised me parts shipped and tracking #. Once I paid. no items no tracking info. no responses

I'd buy one! I do not want to cut up any of my stock parts to mount the vapor and make it look nice. Gonna sell me the proto type? lol

I made this mount so I could install the speed sensor on the rear wheel.

How is the magnet attached to your wheel? It looks like you might have used a wheel weight bracket, but it doesn't look connected to the lip of the wheel. I've seen others just drill a hole through the wheel itself, but .... I don't know if that's really good for the wheel/balancing, I dunno.
