Thanks for the pics of your "other" masterpiece, shabba. Beautiful bike indeed. I am planning on a buying an NSR 125 or *possibly* 250 for restoration this winter.

Man, we are waay too much alike.

That's cool Jon, I've had almost every exotic you can think of over the years to include NSR"S, RGV's, RGV 250 SP, RZ's, RZV's, Gammas, Aprilia RS 125, 250, AF-1, Futura's, Gilera SP-01, SP-02, Derbi GPR-125R, NS400R, KR-1S, TZR's, YSR, NSR-80's and on and on..you'll love it !. Here's a few pics of the plastic process as we/others have discussed on the Gyro and an opportunity to post a few more pics of the restoration process.

Putting 400 hours into a Gyro with 3 miles on it shows everywhere. I've scored some NOS parts over the past few years and none look as good :thumbwink:

For contrast - here's a pic of a Gyro we're working on this year - the pic is just after cleaning - and not yet all the way back together. Rear bumper is junk. Personally not being complete is not a big deal, I'll try and make a custom bumper someday. Seat was chewed on by a sweet golden lab puppy who charmed me from the minute I was inside the seller's yard (teeth marks are at the front).

Gyro parts community is not very large, happy to meet you. I'm watching for parts for some other's here, and will include your parts into the watch. One thing I found on my first Gyro - parts take can take months or more to find. To me - the hunt is part of the fun in Gyro ownership.

Hi mouse, your Gyro is looking good so far....well I just picked up my first 84 blue Gyro. Got it from a gentleman in KC, Kansas. Heading all the way from Maryland to KC to pick it up next weekend. Seems as though all the parts are there to make another mint one...if it's in good enough condition I may just sell my 2 red ones I bought for rebuilding and just concentrate on this Blue one. So now I have 3 "rough' looking Gyros trying to make one MINT condition one out of them...we'll see. For the life of me I cannot figure out why so many Gyros out there are missing the bumper and the rest seem to have it all broken up and then almost every one is missing the little spark plug cover that goes on the top of the engine cover...who knows !!!

Hi guys, I am redoing a 84 Gyro and need the little battery COVER (not the battery box). It was OEM part number: COVER, BATTERY 31506-GK0-000 and fits 84 models.
Do you have one for sale?. If so I'll pay IMMEDIATELY via PAYPAL for it. Thanks,
shabbabear
