sym dd50 bogs at low speed

Post by yellowdd50 »

ok heres my problem. my dd50 i took out all the restrictors from the bike. i also bought an exhaust, dont know what brand but it kind of look like the stock one. i got 2 carb jets(95,100) that i got from a friend, and i replaced the clutch springs. i notices that when i try to go it bogs out like really slow then it picks up sometimes. if i try to gp up my driveway it doesnt even go up. do i got the wrong jets or is my tuning off. all so theres that black carb spacer that i took off, but will that affect it?

tuning might be off, and black spacer? if it has the o-ring on one sidr it needs to be there or else you will have an air leak between the carb and the intake. have a pic of said spacer?

it has a o ring on it and when i took it off i noticed that the carb also got a o ring on there to. i dont know i still cant figure it out. how much turns should i start off with? would an air leak cause this all so?

PUT THE SPACER BACK ON! the o ring on the black gasket needs to face intake! yes and air leak will cause this and that is your air leak!

95 and 100 ? :surprise:

That is too big.
Try 78 or 80
Are you running the stock air box?
does the dd50 have the extra tab to open, up like the elites?

1.5 turns to 1.75 turns to start.

Put the spacer back in........it is not a restriction, it is a thermal spacer.

Hi I have a dd50 and my setup was really similar you just need a 88jet and then you good go to http://www.monstergy6.com/product_jets.htm For the jet get the 88 and if you put a 70cc go with the 95 with the stock air box
