1997 Honda Elite 50 S AF16E Motor

Post by Milkyway49 »

I have a 97 Honda Elite motor, runs great starts right up. I was wondering what something like that would be worth. And If anyone is interested let me know. I have the whole bike but I'm looking to part it out.

this is by no means an actual price of what you would get, but the average price sold on ebay is $126

people usually bid on the engines.

And that is relevant to anything in this forum, how? Since you have nothing useful to say why not just shut the * up.

He asked how much it was worth, I let him know its not an actual price of what he would get

Do you have a better way of saying what its worth? If so please do so instead of talking to me some more

Seems to me Ebay AF16's go for $175+ depending on how complete they are. $126 would be a great deal.

This isn't flea-bay. *, I can show you two Aero 80 motors, 1 for $50 and one for $499, both run, which proves nothing just an you post was not relevant.

The motor is 100% complete, I have the whole bike but some plastics are missing. So I'm trying to get some kind of figure of what the motor complete would bring in. Thanks for the help

Greetings:

A stock AF-16 should fetch as much as $300 in the spring. Right now, the demand is softer, and you might have to settle for around $200 if you need the money sooner. Sanjuro has a rare AF-18 for sale right now that's a pretty good deal for anyone wanting to upgrade a Spree or SE/05 to Dio-nism. I wouldn't expect to get as much for an AF-16, but a lot depends on mileage and condition. What's the compression?

The compression is right around 140. I forgot to do the WOT I'll have to do it one more time. But that's what I got by kicking it over few times. Do you know whats normal for one of these?

Rats. If the price is right I'll scoop up the entire bike after Christmas. I wouldn't mind another Elite and it would be nice to have something non-chinese in my fleet.

I posted one of my AF16 motors here recently. I was asking $150+ shipping and it was mostly complete from motor mount to cooling shrouds, i got a couple bites but nothing concrete.
