nice info sir! hehe! here in the Philippines, any running scooter with or without permit can drive to the hway.. racing scooters are legal here...

A variated transmission auto shifts the scooter though a range of low-high "gears" automatically

A spree transmission has one gear and never "shifts" in to a higher or lower "gear".

You may have to re-jet the carb now that the factory airbox is gone.

With a little bit of work, you can get a 65cc kit, gears, CT manifold and a bigger carb for that engine.

I has potential to go over 55mph :surprise:

actually sir.. the scooter can run as 85km/hr i dont know if the engine is still stock or upgraded.. how can i check?

The way to check if a bigger bore was added.........Take of the head, and measure the diameter of the piston.
If it is over 41mm, then it is upgraded.

To check the gears.....take off the kicker cover and count the number of times the clutch bell turns for one turn of the tire.
If it is under 10, then you have after market gears.

i still dont have push button start... how can i get this working? do i need a bendix drive?

The not starting with the filter on is just an adjustment of the air screw (mixture). The main jet has NOTHING to do with starting and is a different issue that will appear above half throttle. Try turning in the mixture screw a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn in (clockwise) at a time until the scooter starts with the filter on. Once the scooter starts adjust the air screw for the highest RPM possible. Then adjust the idle speed screw until the rear wheel does not turn with the engine idling and the rear wheel off the ground.

The air screw is the one nearest the carb/intake flange that goes in at an angle. The other is the idle speed. You need to plug the curved horizontal nipple right above the screws as it is letting extra air into your engine and may well be part of your starting problem. The vertical nipple is the float bowl vent and should have a hose on it the curves down and is left open. I assume you are mixing your oil with your gas.

thanks for the info sir... yes im mixing my oil with my gas.. any disadvantages?


Just that it is a messy pain in the *. What about the oil pump? Is it disabled, remove, plugged, whatever? If not done properly it can seize up and cause grief. Also that is a PB carb, which was not stock on any AF05 engine.

First is there an oil pump on the engine? Do you have an oil tank? Then you need to plumb the oil tank to the pump and the pump to the carb and bleed the system per the manual. Top off oil tank and note where the oil level is at. Now continue running premix and watch the tank oil level for a couple of premix tanks. If level in tank drops, your pump is working and you can quit premixing.

OK first, stop the sir stuff. I'm Fred or Bear. The oil pump is on the front of the engine below the exhaust pipe where it connects to the exhaust flange. Look on E-bay for an oil tank. It mounts under the seat next to the battery.

Here is the service manual, download they and it will handle the majority of your questions.
