Winter Riding

Post by wikked_spree57 »

Anyone dumb/crazy as me to ride in the snow/ice?

My Eton Beamer is my only set of wheels currently so I ride almost daily and normally 20+ miles a day at some points. My scoot is missing it's center stand and I thought about building a contraption there with wheels on it to stabilize my scooter from "sliding" out from under me. What do you guys think?

Studded knobbies keep me on two wheels until the snow gets deep.

I've got the fat Zuma style knobbies and thought about studding them, but i don't think there's enough there to sink a stud in without puncture.

It's only back roads which have ice on them normally anyways the plow trucks are lazy here and dont salt/plow back roads half of the time.
