What is the coldest temperature you have driven your spree?

Post by patthesoundguy »

Any of you guys been braving the cold on your spree? I have been croaking so bad to go riding, I've been out I have been out as cold as -7 celcius over the past month for a SHORT ride. My stock 84 spree never skipped a beat in the cold! I use Ipone snowmobile injector oil in it all year round that was a help so I didnt have to change to winter oil it was already in there. What is the coldest rides you guys have done on your sprees?

If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.

I'm a pansy (or smart, I'm never sure which) but if it isn't 50┬░ I don't ride anymore, but I'm old too.

16*F on an elite E. aka -8.8888888*C If the roads where clear, I could ride year round with my sled gear but I don't like riding on the ice, daily. Like Bear said, I am too old or wise for that.

I took mine for a ride just before x-mas for delivering secret santa gifts, I know it was in the negitives, but nothing more than -5 or so, and it was short trips, it took longer to warm up the scooter than the trip one way(mile and a half). That new street tire I put on made it fun to control in the snow when I wasn't on the roads.

Nice Spree Pat by the way.. well I drove my Spree everyday all winter long here in Portland. I know there were many days under freezing here thankfully not much snow and ice this year.
