Bigger Intake made for the spree(taz)

Post by tazland001 »

The larger intake for the spree is made. I now have to get the right size throttle cable made for the pk carbs. I dont feel like having my customers fab their own. It is such a pain in the *. They will be avalable for sale in the next 60 days.
I am kinda curious. what size carbs should I use with the spree? 19mm,21mm, or 24mm? Open to suggestions.

The muffler maker is still having a hard time with the spree racing muffler. I think he bit of more than he could chew with that project. lol. Just be patient on the mufflers.

Greetings:

The Amal 17.5 was a substantial improvement over stock for my 65cc Aero - an engine that revved to over 9K. I wouldn't go bigger than 19, even on a 68cc Spree. There are limiting factors elsewhere - ports and pipe - that make me think tuning a 24 or even a 21 for midrange will be challenging.

I agree with wheelman, keep it reasonable or tuning will be a total b****.

Do you have picture of this intake?

x2 for a 17ish carb. Keep it smaller to help with the single speed tranny.

It will be around 50$ to 55$ on my ebay store. I will go with the 19mm carbs.

Hey taz, would you consider doing a kit with the pipe(when its finnished) and carb together as a kit for a discount, like the bbk and gears?

When I get the intakes in I will probably do a contest to give a few away for free. So keep your eyes open. :naughty:
