Yes, a leakdown test is not the same as pressure testing the crankcase. I've probably done several thousand leakdown test over the years.
You set the motor at TDC and pressurize the combustion chamber. I guess you could find a blown head gasket or a holed piston but a simple compression test will show those and it is 10 times easier to run.
Like I said, test the top end or if the OP is doing the test wrong which would lead to being closer to BDC than TDC...Both the leakdown and pressure test are needed. Enough said, like the other thread
You either don't know how to install rings properly or should try a different BBK if you are 0-2. The production quallity of that kit is no good.

It is NOT an exhaust gasket problem. d***, I really get tired of amateurs guessing about what they know nothing. A leakdown test checks the rings and hearing the air leak out the exhaust proves it is the ring.
