Is the stock airbox hooked up?
Sprees don't like to run with out it.

What the engine does unloaded, that's on the enter stand, has nothing to do with real world operations. It takes in the neighborhood of 10 times the fuel and at least twice the spark to run your butt down the road.

im no bear at 159 stock air box isbeing used bike is all original 100% could the v belt need adjustment or conditioning if so how do i go about it thanks the cub haha
Re: spree runs excellant on center stand but wont pull me
Replace the 2 o-rings between carb and intake, make sure there are NO leaks in the airbox
If you have a leak the machine will bog under load as there is not enough vacumn to pull the fuel thru the jet into the engine. Also seen similar issues with the bystarter oring being bad causing bog due to vacumn leak.
You will get enough fuel on the stand the wind it out, but not enough fuel to ride it...

Does the engine stall or rev without moving?ciccanti38 wrote:you mean the gasket between the carb and intake manifold and how does the bistarter come apart im new to this scooter thing actually working on this for a friend you dont think it has anything to do with the belt

itll rev then bog rev then bog stays running on center stand anyone know where to get the two o rings for the carb and intake and when installing the gasket with the o ring does that go o ring to o ring with the carb

There are 4 ways to position the heat insulator. 3 of them will cause problems.
One way to look at it is "dog-ears" Down, and each mating surface needs One O-Ring.
Go easy on the Wheaties when you tighten those 8mm hex heads. It's a 6mm steel bolt in the carb's flaky Alu threads, and not much of them. Just be sure to compress the O-Rings, but not much more. Chrck the Factory Manual, but it's not more than 6 foot-pounds, maybe less.
An error here can cost you a top end.
Good luck!

Re: spree runs excellant on center stand but wont pull me
so the o ring in the carb goes to the flat side of the insulator and the o ring in the insulator goes to the intake flange

Re: spree runs excellant on center stand but wont pull me
is it possible to match the o rings up with a differant o ring from like harbor freight or something i believe that once i correct this problem i should be good to go
Re: spree runs excellant on center stand but wont pull me
Interesting but with all my scooters I have never had a bad "o"-ring.
