Even 25 years ago O-rings weren't rubber and they only rot (if they were rubber) when exposed to the air, which when squashed between the carb, insulator and intake does not happen.

Again, what it does on the center stand means NOTHING!

Your main jet fuel circuit is screwed, probably the emulsion tube.

Just replace the orings, they are 15 cents a piece at the hardware store, ace, true vale etc.
Built a spree for the lady last year, ran good for 200 miles and then started bogging at random, seemed to change depending on engine temp, replaced the orings and and that was it. Research the venturi effect and how carbs work and it will make sense

Did you go thru the carb yet? If its your first time it might take hour to do but it well worth it. Get yourself some chemtol at autozone (dont get in eyes :nerd: ) wear glasses....

Pull out every screw you can find including the tube behind the main jet, you have to push it out the bottom of the carb from the top. It a brass tube about 1" long, there are holes in there that tube that have to be spick and span. Then use a guitar string or piece of wire and verify all channels are clean including the main jet (only flat head screw in there)

I like to spray chemtol in the carb and force it thru with the air compressor, it will mist out the other end and you will know it all clear.

Gummed up carb will lean the engine out, not a question of if it will burn up its when.....
