oko adapter
Is this intake designed to mount directly to motor to use bigger carb while using stock reed block?

Re: oko adapter
I DONT KNOW. I came across the same thing It sure looks like it is. I dont think I would run a 26mm threw the stock reedblock. This would be great for the smaller carbs by the look of it.

Re: oko adapter
Yes, but it uses the stock reeds which are pretty small and will negate most of the bigger carb's effect. You would be better off getting a CT manifold with it's bigger reeds for about $10 more.

Yeah, the extra $10 is worth it. I was curious since i never heard about just the manifold.

Re: oko adapter
Honda is known for limiting engine performance by using a small carb. Compare the 1983 thru 1985 Aero 80 carb at 16 mm to the CR80R of the same era with a 24 mm carb. Can you say "Not enough carb?"scottinscotty wrote:i ordered that manifold and im gonna fab it up to fit on my stock carb... i'll post some pics when i get it and fab it up.. im' thinkin you can get pretty substantial performance out of a stock carb.. and i'm gonna find out.. if not then i'm gonna order a 21mm

Re: oko adapter
I was under the impression that the biggest carb on a 50 cc motor was a 16 mm PB series with the changeable slow jet. Oh and that 16 mm carb has a venturi as tall as the Aero 80 16 mm carb but is about a 1/3 less wide. At least that is the case of the set up I have sitting here in the shop. This is also the reason I hate this measuring carbs by the venturi height and not their air flow.scottinscotty wrote:worst case.... i have the intake and need the bigger carb.. i thought honda used a 19mm carb on the 2000 elite sr?

Re: oko adapter
According to the service manual in the "Owners and Service Manual" forum on this site you have a Keihin PA35J which is a 14 mm carb.
My question for you is why don't you have this service manual download to your computer so you can look it up yourself?
