87 aero 50 questions
im fixing a old moped for my dad to ride and have a few questions, first off this thing was a total turd and smashed to bits so ive treated her like a lady and repaired evrything new paint, tires, battery, carb ect ect ect. questions are as follows: i had to buy a new wiring harness and its a bit different it only has two wires for gas tank sender (which i just ran a third to make it work), it has no plug for bystarter so, does it just require ground and key on power?, also everything works but headlight and dash lights are not lit, does it need to be running for them to turn on? cant run it to new side cover arrives so i cannot answer that for myself. thanks

Headlights and dash lights are powered by AC from the stator. Only way to get that AC is for the engine to be turning.also everything works but headlight and dash lights are not lit, does it need to be running for them to turn on? cant run it to new side cover arrives so i cannot answer that for myself. thanks
The bystarter is powered from AC from the headlight circuit. It has a series resistor to ground you may want to add.it has no plug for bystarter so, does it just require ground and key on power?,

Yes - that's the headlight/bystarter power.correct me if i am wrong but that is the yellow wire coming from stator correct?
...also where is this resistor located?
Double check this is not tied to anything else, but I think this is the only resistor on the scooter.
