Carb spewing gas.....

The spree turns over, but still bogs down, and is spewing gas out of the carb (see pic below) Any help?

Greetings:

The overflow spill most likely due to Float Valve malfunction.
Incorrect assembly is very easy to do. Cracked float won't shut off fuel but you would've noticed.
Poor valve/seat seal possibly, but the leak is not a torrent, and fuel consumption "keeps up" generally except at idle.
Check the vac petcock too. The same things that cause float malfunctions affect the petcock too.

How do I check or fix the float valve?

Greetings:

1. Remove carb. Yes, again...
2. Drop the bowl.
3. Holding the float up close to the carb body, try to blow into the fuel inlet.
4. Vomit foul toxic gasoline, then reduce Octane-Breath with Listerine.
5. If you can get air past the valve while blowing as you raise the float, the seal is faulty.
6. Sometimes you can polish up the float needle seat with a partly-stripped Q-Tip and some car rubbing compound.
7. Sometimes you need a new float needle, available for a ridiculously high price from Honda-san. When these wear out, they * at an angle in their tiny bores. Even if the tip looks good, it may not work correctly.

Or just use a new piece of fuel hose on the fuel inlet and blow into it and skip the fuel/mouth issues.

A better way to test is to flip the carb upside down, the weight of the float should seal the needle to the seat and prevent air flow.
